About Us

	Located twenty minutes south of Boston, Coastal Art Glass has been creating original, quality art glass for use in residential, commercial, ecclesiastical, and educational facilities in the United States and several foreign countries for over thirty years. Coastal Art Glass is a family run business established in 1975 by Jane Cragin Walsh and Jim Walsh. Jane apprenticed at a local stained glass studio in high school and went on to major in art at Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater Massachusetts. Jane and Jim's daughters, Kathryn and Rebecca, have also worked at Coastal Art Glass in apprentice positions for many years, with Kathryn taking on a larger role in 2006 after graduating from college. Coastal Art Glass has had work featured in several magazines including Better Homes and Gardens Magazine, Kitchens and Baths Special Edition, Violet Magazine, and many stained glass trade magazines featuring Venture Tape advertisements. *Coastal Art Glass* was established in 1978. We moved to our present location in Weymouth, MA in 1988. Coastal Art Glass specializes in custom stained, leaded, etched and painted glass works. We also do stained glass restorations as well as on-site stained glass repairs. We work directly with clients, designers, architects and contractors from concept through installation.		Coastal Art Glass has also worked with many schools and their art students to promote the arts in our schools. Windows have been designed, built, and presented to schools by both the students and our artists. Students have had the unique experience of working with master glass craftsmen to learn the art and produce a stained glass window that reflects the school's culture and events from the year, and proudly present this window at a ceremony honoring the dedication and efforts of each student.
